Cotton or linen, loosely woven, embroidered with polychrome silk, gilt and silver thread in double darning, fishbone, and satin stitches, and with buttonhole stitches on a rolled hem at edges. At each end a border formed by a 0.5" deep band of gilt thread, above it four sprays of stylised flowers with leaves.
