Cotton, with a 1.25" silk stripe at selvedges, embroidered with polychrome silk and gilt thread, in double darning
(worked diagonally on the threads of the ground giving the effect of cross stitch), double running, eyelet hole and satin stitches. At each end a 1.25" deep border of five horizontal bands of geometrical patterns, and above it a band formed by two repeats of a 7.75" deep rose spray with a 7.5" deep flowering plant based on a cypress tree between them.
