Description

Cotton, striped bands on each side produced by supplementary warps, embroidered with polychrome silk and silver metal thread, in double running, fishbone, satin and hem stitches and needle weaving. Three repeats of a large asymmetric flower spray and a border of three narrow bands of repeated stylised flowers or geometric patterns, two in alternating colours. Inscriptions on both ends, on one "Akitdim ah, Mazaallah, Ya Allah", and on the other "Ya Allah, Ya Muhammed, Mazaallah" Ravelled fringe.
