Cotton, terry weave with 16.25" at each end in twill weave. Embroidered with polychrome silk and chenille threads, gilt and silver plate and spangles in couching, double darning, running and satin stitches. Each end embroidered with two and a half repeats of a spray of flowers with vine like leaves, above a border of a continuous wavy acanthus leaf, with a spray of stylised flowers attached by bows of ribbon to each curve of the leaf.
