A cast bronze portrait medal of Pope Alexander VII (1655-1667), by Giocchino Francesco Travani (1634-1675), active in Rome, circa 1655-1663, after a design by Gian Lorenzo Bernini (1598-1680). The reverse of Androcles and the Lion refers to the gratitude of the Pope of Domenico lacobacci, who commissioned the medal.
