Note

Laid on card with the edges folded over the back in a contemporary presentation for a 'Vue d'Optique' device. The printed title has been obscured and the composition has been altered, with extensive hand colouring painting out and extending the design (the border, some of the furniture and the view into the garden at the back of the room). Another print or prints have been used to add additional chambers to the left and right of the image, some from prints published by Martin Engelbrecht.
