Description

Central panel of a young woman turning away from a young man who exits through a door, with her companion having text beneath: "I fan am like unto a Beau, I spread and flatter too and fro, As he is us'd in so am I, I'm played with all & then thrown by".
The left reserve has an unsuspecting couple watched by a young woman passerby having text beneath: "Would you see and not be seen, Make your fan your friendly screan, Curiosity with Prudence mix, And wisely peep between ye sticks".
The right reserve has a suitable gentleman proposing to a young woman with the text: "If a man of wealth should love me, With a better will repair me, But when Preferments provide lovers, Ladies always are the losers."
