Folding fan with classical scene. Depicting a Roman solider standing and holding a spear over a soldier lying prone on the ground. To the left are a couple holding hands, the woman wearing her lover's plumed helmet. To the right is a queen (?) and her son looking on.
Paper leaf with hand coloured etching on painted and lacquered ivory sticks and carved wood guards (possibly Chinese).
