Description

The chicken-skin leaf hand-painted with a Roman triumph, probably the copy of an earlier Italianate leaf. Depicting a chariot drawn by an elephant, with a horseman in front with winged helmet. To the left are spectators by a statue with a trumpet, lyre and horn. To the right are two soldiers on horseback, three slaves carring a vase on a stretcher, and a brazier.
The ivory sticks finely carved and pierced.
