Inscription on bottom "P Mercier pinxit" and "J Faber fecit 1743" and "Publish'd according to Act of parliament March 25th 1744" and "If MUSICK be the food of LOVE, play on. That strain again, it had a dying Fall. Oh! It came o'er my Ear like a sweet sound. That breath upon a Bank of Violets, Stealing and giving Odour."
