Description

Half-length, seated on a carved wooden chair, facing front, wearing dark robes over buttoned waistcoat and white bands at the neck. His right hand holding a pair of spectacles in his lap and with ring on little finger, left hand resting on Holy Bible vol. 2 located on a table to the right of the chair. The tall spire of St James' Church, Louth can be viewed through a window at the far right.
