Valentine card
A frame of white lace-paper with paper springs visible pasted underneath indicating that this would have been the top layer of a valentine with 'raised' borders. An oval aperture at the centre is backed with a chromolithograph of flowers. A cut-paper, lithographed butterfly/moth is pasted on the frame at lower right. The top set of wings lift to reveal a printed poem on both sides of lower wings: 'Thy loved image / is impressed on my / heart for evermore …'.
