Valentine card
White embossed and lace-paper with gilded border and a central panel of green paper with silvered borders mounted on paper springs. A heavily embossed and varnished die-cut chromo of the head and shoulders of a young girl wearing a straw hat decorated with flowers and with real grasses set behind. Chromolithographed die-cuts of roses and other flowers affixed at lower left and right corners. A novelty open 'book' of paper with gilding is affixed at lower centre and bears a lithographed verse in blue ink: 'I send kind re/gards & hope that you may / With pleasure / remember in / future this day'. The interior is blank.
