Valentine card A Rainbow of Hope
White, embossed lace-paper in the 'flag' design often employed by Dobbs as Dobbs, Kidd & Co. A blindstamp at lower centre: 'DOBBS, KIDD & CO'. The central aperture backed with a white silk panel, overlaid in the upper portion with coloured gauze in blue, pink and yellow to create a rainbow. The silk panel mounted with white, velvet leaves, each hand-painted with flower garlands to form the letters: 'L - O - V - E'. A white silk hydrangea flower and fabric leaves with hand-painted tendrils affixed below. The interior is blank.
