Valentine card A Token of fond Sincerity
A small valentine of white lace-paper mounted at the centre with die-cut, coated paper with embossed, hand-coloured flowers and with hand-painted foliage details around the die-cut paper. The die-cut lifts up to reveal a 'secret' message written in black ink by the sender: 'My home is / where thou art'. A motto is handwritten in blue ink in Dobbs's house-style at lower centre: 'A Token of fond Sincerity'. The interior of the card is inscribed in graphite with one illegible word, possibly a name. 'DOBBS' is blind-stamped at lower centre.
