Description

Very pale green bubbly glass, thrown with applied handle. Of broad conical form with vertical strap handle attached to the rim, and at the top flanged and pressed to form ribs on its upper side. There is a pontil mark in the middle of the base.

History note: Howard Phillips, London, from whom purchased in July 1984 by Sir Ivor Batchelor; Sir Ivor and Lady Batchelor, St Andrew's, Fife; Sir Ivor died on 24 April 2005; on loan since 2006 (Syndicate of 30 January)
