MOVEMENT: Full plate movement engraved 'Langlois au Havre 813'. Balance cock with pierced and engraved table, polished steel coquette with ruby end stone, foot pierced and engraved. Foot at top of movement 2 o'clock. Brass balance. Pierced and engraved applied plate, both sides of cock table, regulation dial with Arabic figues 1 to 6. Plate enrgaved, as above, at 6 o'clock. Pierced fusee iron post. Case bolt in brass edge with nib through dial. Potance screwed to plate. Counter-potance rectangular and riveted to plate. Tangent set-up under barrel. Alarm barrel pierced and engraved. Plain alarm potance, counter-potance screwed to plate. Hammer next to pillar plate. Pillar plate with four square baluster pillars. Third wheel recessed, contrate cock. Alarm second wheel recessed, contrate cock. Under dial, cannon pinion and minute wheel recessed. Fusee and chain, tangent set-up under barrel, barrel with one lip. Verge escapement. Train planted radially. Steel three pinion alarm train, main wheel missing. Double headed hammer under time barrel. Train planted anti-clockwise.
HANDS: Blued steel beetle and poker.
BRASS EDGE: Plain gilt, three feet, dial recess. Alarm set wheel recess, plate side.
DIAL: Silver, champleve, radial Arabic 5 minute figures on cushions, arched minute ring, radial Roman chapters, half-hour marks. Alarm set hollow square at VI, ladder quarter-hour ring.
ALARM DIAL: Silver, radial Arabic hours on cushions, ladder half-hour ring, centre three fixing screw heads.
BELL: Two winding holes, 'R' in ink on back.
INNER CASE: Silver, sides pierced and engraved, with acanthus scrolls and birds' heads. Engraved scene of two buildings at 6 o'clock, plain back engraved with outer border of acanthus leaves, and central design. Plain bezel (no glass). Pendant stem cylindrical, small button end with stirrup bow.
OUTER CASE (A): Silver, body sides pierced and engraved with foliage and birds, four repousse busts with engraved arched border, centre engraved with coat of arms, well rubbed. Bezel with pierced and engraved edge and plain, inward sloping centre.
