Verge watch in enamelled gold case, set with pearls and diamonds.

MOVEMENT: Full plate movement engraved 'Pre Dufour A GENEVE 356' and painted on dial 'Pre. Dufour' under 12 o'clock and A GENEVE' above 6 o'clock. Balance bridge pierced and engraved, polished steel coquette. Brass balance. Silver regualtion dial engraved 'AVANCE' and 'RETARD' with central garland, plain brass hand. Turned fusee iron post. Polished steel case bolt in slot in plate, nib under dial. Adjustable potance. Counter-potance screwed to plate, polished steel end piece with adjusting screw. Pillar plate with four plain turned pillars, edge scalloped, centre wheel recessed. Third wheel bridge. Plate stamped '356' and scratched '320' under dial. Fusee and chain with set-up click under dial, barrel with one lip. Verge escapement. Train planted anti-clockwise.

DIAL: White enamel on copper with gilt edge, three feet. Dotted minute ring, large 5 minute dots and radial Arabic quarter numbers, '30' vertical. Radial Arabic chapters. Inscribed as above. Winding hole at 2 o'clock. Back inscribed '320' in counter enamel.

HANDS: Pierced silver Louis XVI style, hour hand with central start, both hands set with diamonds and pearls.

CASE: Gold consular with enamel and set with jewels. Gold leaf pattern at edge of bezel and body. Body with red gold, v section, outer edge having chased v pattern, rim set with alternative diamonds and pearls around glass. Body with rim of foilage pattern enamel and set with diamonds and pearls, like bezel, inner ring of gold pattern enamelled with white and green enamel. Centre with applied gold foliage over green enamel set with diamonds and pearls. Bezel face of body scratched '31 = 5x/-/-.' Cylindrical pendant with cheese shaped top stamped '354' at back and 'P & R' on front. Stirrup bow.
