Verge watch in gilt consular case.

MOVEMENT: Full plate movement, engraved 'Bowen & Downes LONG ACRE No. 700.' Balance cock with table pierced and mask engraved at neck. Foot engraved. Polished steel balance. Engraved slide plate with silver regulator disc having radial Arabic numbers, 2, 4, and 6. Fusee iron post pierced. Case bolt in brass edge. Potance with narrow foot screwed to, and counter-potance riveted to, top plate. Pillar plate with four turned pillars, unused slot in pillar plate to left of joint. Under dial, recess in centre with two small recesses at 3 and 9 o'clock. Bar fitted over centre recess to take intermediate wheel to operate calendar stear wheel. Three recesses unused. Plate stamped '434'. Fusee and chain with set-up click on back plate under slide plate. Second centre wheel off centre. Verge escapement. Train planted anti-clockwise.

CAP: Plain with raised oval table, scratched on outside 'O/X' and on the inside '1802'. Blued steel cap spring.

DIAL: Flat white enamel on copper, two circles, time above and date below the centre. Time face with dot minute circle, star quarters, vertical Roman chapters. Date circle with radial Arabic odd numbers and dots between.

BRASS EDGE: Scratched '434'.

HANDS: Brass repaired spade hour hand and plain minute hand, gilt brass pierced date hand.

CASE: Gilt brass, plain double-backed consular, with dome cut away to clear the movement. Back stamped '424' obliterated by 8's with '34' stamped below, in 12 o'clock position. Pendant central hole filled at top. Two holes in band for missing push spring fixings. Gilding now only in moulding.
