Verge watch in silver case.
MOVEMENT: Full plate movement engraved 'James Worgan No 1263 BRISTOL'. Balance cock with pierced and chased table, blued steel end plate with diamond end stone, cock foot engraved. Brass balance. Engraved slide plate, silver regulation disc with radial Arabic figures 1 to 3. Turned and ringed fusee iron post. Potance screwed, and counter-potance riveted, to plate. Polished steel case bolt, in slot in plate, nib at side. Pillar plate with four turned pillars ringed at ends. Joint between plates and screwed to pillar plate. Centre wheel recessed. Third wheel bar. Case bolt at 5 o'clock. Fusee and chain, set up ratchet under dial, barrel with one liop. Verge escapement. Train planted clockwise.
DIAL: White enamel on slightly convex copper, three feet. Ladder minute ring, narrow radial Roman chapters, winding hole with thin gold bush at 6 o'clock.
HANDS: Brass club hour and gold poker minute, not a pair.
CASE: Plain large and thin silver single backed hunter, no bezel. Outside of back was engraved with a name, but this is nearly completely rubbed out. Inside back HM LONDON 1797 and duty mark, and case maker's mark incuse 'TG'. Inside cover scratched 'Wood' '2986'. Oval pendant with oval stirrup bow.
