Description

Lower part of a jug, of thrown greyish-brown earthenware with the lower end of an applied handle. The vessel has a circular base and sloping sides tapering towards the top which is broken off unevenly.

Notes

History note: Found in London by G.F. Lawrence of the London Museum, and given by him to Bernard Rackham (1876-1964)
