Pedometer in Pinchbeck case.
MOVEMENT: Full plate movement with train between plates. Plain, un-gilt, top plate on four pillars, pinned in thickness of plate, through pillar and into holes in plate. Top plate scratched '1'.
DIAL: White enamel on copper, three feet (not pinned). Main scale and two sub-scales. Outer ladder scale of 100, marked every 10 by dot in place of ladder rung, and radial Arabic figures, 30 and 70 missing, to make way for sub-scales. Dial named 'SPENCER & PERKINS' in crescent under '100' and 'LONDON' in crescent abouev '50'. Sub-scale at '70' marked 1 to 10 in radial Arabic figures between two circless, four quarter marks of small triangles, on and inside, inner circle, marked 'ONE' under 10 and 'MILE' over 5. Scale at '30' marked 1 to 12 in radial Arabic figures between two circles, marked 'TWELVE' under 12 and 'MILES' above 2. Dial secured by single screw above 'LONDON'.
HANDS: Blued steel with brass bushed with tapered fingers, and pierced circular counter balance.
CASE: Pinchbeck with strap loop under '50', pendant providing pivot for operating lever and fixing hook at '100'. Long steel fixing hook, about 140mm, of rectangular section stamped '1 + 21' about 30mm above pivot, bent to form hook at end. Movement fixed by two screws in back. Bezel polished and decorated with two wide matt rings.
