Verge watch movement
MOVEMENT: Full plate movement engraved 'Lowndes in Pallmall London'. Balance cock with table pierced and engraved with ears, foot pierced and engraved with wavy edge. Steel balance. Silver regulation dial, Arabic figures 1 to 4. Pierced fusee iron post. Case bolt, in slot in plate and brass edge, nib under dial. Potance, side engraved, riveted to plate. Counter-potance with decorative foot, riveted to plate, side engraved with straight lines. Pillar plate with four narrow tulip pillars, small slot next to case bolt, for original case bolt. Under dial fusee arbor squared, 'T' stamp next to barrel arbor, scratched arrow outwards from barrel pivot. Joint cut off at edge of plate. Split fusee and chain with tangent set-up under barrel, barrel with two lips. Second wheel arbour decoratively turned, third and contrate arbours plain. Verge escapement. Train planted anti-clockwise.
BRASS EDGE: Flat and large diameter with joint (replacement).
DIAL: White enamel on copper, three feet. Ladder minute circle with diamond marks at quarters, radial Roman chapters.
