Description

Stoneware raku jar of cylindrical form, with foot. Thrown then roughly squared. Unglazed raised band round the middle, with two medallions. Thick warm cream glaze, with a patch of prominent crackle.

History note: Bought by Shakeshaft from the biannual 'Pots from France' exhibition in Youlgreave. 1st December 2001
