Description

Wood-fired footed plate, with upturned rim. Olive-green pine ash glaze in the well, pooling to dark green glass. Shiny tan 'flash' glaze on the outside and rim. Six impressed circular motifs around the well, also a central combed circle.

History note: Bought by Shakeshaft from the Goldmark Gallery (Uppingham) on the occasion of Phil Roger's second show there. No. 635. 12th October 2008
