Description

Six lobed bowl. Finely potted porcelain, covered with a cream glaze and decorated with incised lines. The six foliate bowl has slightly curved sides and a square-cut, bevelled footrim and recessed, flat base. Two incised lines circle the outside above the footrim. The inside of the bowl is undecorated.

History note: Purchased Sotheby's, 2nd November 1933, for £1.5s.0d, Lot 19; H.S. Reitlinger (d.1950); the Reitlinger Trust, Maidenhead, from which transferred in 1991.
