moon flask ewer






Moon flask ewer. Brown and cream stoneware, marbled, press-moulded with hand-modelled spout and handle. The ewer has a flattened, globular body on a high, splayed foot, with a small spout and thin loop handle, and is covered all over with brown and cream marble effect.


History note: H.S. Reitlinger (d.1950); the Reitlinger Trust, Maidenhead, from which transferred in 1991.
