Description

Baluster vase. Hard-paste porcelain, decorated in underglaze-blue. The heavily potted vase has a cylindrical neck with applied lug handles below the rounded dish mouth. It has rounded shoulders, and the body tapers into a deep raised foot with flat, unglazed base. The vase is covered in a pale sea-green, celadon crackle glaze. The neck is painted with bamboo sprays either side of the lug handles, and flowering shrubs are painted on the body.
