Description

Wine pot with cover. Hard-paste porcelain, moulded, and painted in underglaze blue. The ovoid body, moulded in eight lobes, tapers to a countersunk, unglazed base. The serpentine spout emerges from just above the base. The handle is formed by two dragon heads and the octagonal cover is surmounted by the dog of Fo. The decoration is painted in underglaze blue with vertical pendants of scrolls and flower heads from a key-fret border. The heads of the dragons are highlighted in blue.
