Description

Lace-paper onto which a silver, hand-coloured frame of lace-paper with an oval window is mounted on paper springs. The frame is decorated with collage elements at upper centre of two dove cut-outs on embossed paper with blue-grey hand colouring on their wings and sitting on a gilded branch. A motto at lower centre reads: 'Oh! smile upon me / that I may / appoint the happy / Wedding-day.' Inside the window is a chromolithograph of an arrangement of flowers and fruit with gilded detailing. The image has been varnished with a glaze.
