Valentine card

Embossed paper with central square frame of silver lace-paper mounted on paper springs which is trimmed with thick blue, silk fringing. At the centre, a three-dimensional collage bouquet composed of fabric flowers, leaves, dried grasses and pearls. Embossed chromolithographed scraps of flowers are attached to the four corners of the paper. An embroidered verse inside an oval-shaped silver lace-paper frame: 'Forget Me Not / Oh! It is sweet, Tis passing sweet / though in a / distant spot, / to know that / till again / we meet, / thou dost / forget me / not'.
