Description

Lace-paper with an oval-shaped window inside of which is a hand-painted and glazed cut-out of a violet, decorated with tinsel foliage and mounted on a panel of pink net. The petals of the violet open to reveal a printed verse (blue ink, appears as hand-written): 'Accept this flower / love, let it be / a token of my / love to thee / But oh, my love / to thee dear maid / unlike that flower / will never / fade.'
