Hope Cottage Valentine card
Publisher: Mullord Bros.
Paper with an embossed border and scalloped edges tipped with blue. At upper centre is a varnished chalk-lithograph cut-out of a house, inscribed 'Hope Cottage' above the door and with coloured paper behind the windows. Real grasses are tucked behind the cottage to represent trees. Fabric leaves and a cut-out of a bird on a gate with the motto 'True love' below. A lithographed description of sale of estate as hand-written in blue ink below: 'Freehold / to be disposed of / by / private contract / lease a lifetime ... '. MULLORD BROS blind-embossed onto the paper at lower left.
