Description

Lace-paper with a lithographed cut-paper wreath of ivy pasted around the central window. Pasted at the centre is a grotesque cut-out on embossed and glazed paper of a man wearing a sailor's outfit and a straw boater performing a jig. There is painting of the ground with brush and ink beneath his feet and a hand-written inscription in red ink around his head: "I jump for joy because you love me." The inside of the card is blank, but handwriting can be seen through the paper on the pasted-down verso.
