Valentine card
Publisher: Dobbs, Henry
Lace-paper decorated with a cut-out, hand-coloured lithograph featuring a female figure wearing a red headscarf huddled inside the hollow of a tree with a bundle of sticks to her right. The cut-out pulls down to reveal a hand-written message in red ink: "You are quite my joy and comfort." and at lower centre: "So cold without / you dear". The lithograph is additionally decorated with collage elements of cut-paper foliage and lithographed flower scraps. DOBBS & CO blind-embossed at lower centre. The inside of the card is blank.
