Valentine envelope

A large, embossed envelope which apparently contained the valentine card, P.14344-R-9 that is affixed to the same leaf of album P.14344. The name and address of the recipient are hand-written in black ink: "Miss Holland / 5 Lansdowne Terrace East ?mid / Brighton". The postmark at upper right reads: "BRIGHTON / FEB 14 / 1857" There is a red, one penny postage stamp affixed in the upper right corner. There are the remains of the red wax seal on the verso.
