Triple gourd vase, part of a garniture of vases. Hard-paste porcelain, decorated in underglaze blue and famille verte enamels, with cylindrical neck and trumpet-shape mouth; the largest bulb tapers into a slightly flared foot with flat, recessed base. The foot and three waists have bands of gilding; peony heads and scrolls in gilt decorate the powder blue. Two quatrefoil reserves containing branches of flowering peony and insects decorate the largest bulb; two fan-shape reserves with flower heads decorate the middle bulb, and two quatrefoil reserves with a lozenge and pearl motif decorate the top bulb.
