Description

A 4to-sized Valentine of thin paper printed with a design of stencilled foliage and laurel wreaths and with hand-coloured and cut-paper morning glory flowers pasted onto the foliage stems. The edges of the paper are scalloped and repeated with an interior hand-drawn scalloped border. At the centre of the paper is an 'envelope' which is decorated with a hand-painted design of forget-me-not flowers and leaves tied with a red ribbon. The flaps of the 'envelope' open to reveal an embossed card with the hand-written motto: "Forget-me-not" and a pair of stencilled branches. It is comparable in size and style to P.14344-R-60.
