Valentine card
Publisher: Unknown
Comic valentine (money lender). A hand coloured woodcut on very thin wove paper, which is folded in half to create an inside page (blank). The hand colouring is crudely executed. A figure with an over-sized head sits at a desk putting money bags into a cash box. A bill spike stacked with paper invoices hangs from the ceiling. A printed verse below: "You grasping usurer, you rascally knave, / Master of wealth, yet still its slave. / For worlds I would not link my name with, / For gold can't purchase a true Valentine." From a series of comic figures.
