Valentine card
Publisher: Meek, George
White laid paper embossed as lace on the front paper with an embossed design of flowers at the centre which has been hand-coloured. Embossed stamp at lower centre: MEEK. The inside pages are blank. Handwritten inscription in graphite on the album leaf below: "Meek". Similar inscriptions, probably in the same hand, mainly transcribing maker details, are found elsewhere on the leaves of this album and also throughout album P.14344-R. These inscriptions were made by Miss Catherine Parsons who was a close friend of Glaisher towards the end of his life and undertook to arrange and mount his valentine collection into albums from the Autumn of 1924 through to the Summer of the following year and beyond.
