Description

Bowl and wooden stand. Hard-paste porcelain decorated in mottled underglaze blue and in famille verte enamels and gilding. The bowl has steeply rounded sides resting on a high foot, with flat, recessed base. The exterior is decorated with two oval and two fan-shaped vignettes enclosing kylin in a landscape, and flower sprays with insects beneath a gilt border and gilt flower sprays. The interior is decorated with a central medallion depicting two ladies standing either side of a table with a bowl of lilies, within double iron-red circles, and a diaper pattern border around the rim reserved with four flower spray vignettes.
