Description

A postcard-style valentine with a gold-bordered chromolithograph of swallows with morning glory vine and a white scroll at the centre. A message printed on the scroll in blue ink with illuminated-style first letter: "Sweet friend, / Thy love ne'er alter / till thy sweet life end." "Eyre & Spottiswoode, London" printed at lower left and "112" printed at lower right. The number suggests that this card was one of a series.
