A lithographed and hand-coloured border of stylised flowers and leaves. A lithographed verse printed below: "The morning blushes sweetly, / Yet not more sweet than thee; / And using thus to greet thee - / I plight my constancy ...". The paper has been previously folded into quarters with a hand-written inscription from the sender on the verso: "Trust me my Dear I wish not to impart / the wrong sensation to your heart / all that I ask is virtuous love, / And hope your parents will approve / Ami A la campagne".
