Album Frontispiece
Valentine card

Publisher: Unknown

White lace-paper panel inscribed in red ink with the title: "Album Frontispiece" mounted with a collage of hand-coloured and cut-paper flowers and a dog kennel inscribed: "Scraps / thankfully / received". The door of the kennel opens to reveal a drawing of a king charles spaniel. The collage at lower centre lifts up to reveal a hand-written message (presumably by the sender): "The giver makes the gift more valuable / supported by voluntary contributions". The panel has no front or back paper and is mounted on a sheet of blue paper.
