Description

Small postcard-style valentine with a lithographed and hand-coloured wreath of flowers at upper centre and two stanzes of verse printed below: "Pansies on their lowly stems, / Scatter'd o'er the fallows; / Hazel buds with crimson gems, / Green and glossy sallows; / Tufted moss and ivy twine, / Gown my love, my Valentine! ...". P.14411-R-85 is a larger version of this card which has been shaped and mounted onto a panel of lace-paper.
