Description

Small single sheet of white coated and embossed card with a 'lace' edge and an arched gateway of coated embossed card with 'lace' edge at the centre with fretwork doors that open to reveal a chromolithograph of flowers. Chromolithographed scraps of pink rose and motto: "BE MINE" at upper and lower centre and a sparrow attached to the doors. A version of this card is employed as a centrepiece for a larger valentine mounted onto the previous leaf of the same album, P.14411-R-88 and another similar example, P.14411-R-90, mounted onto the same album leaf.
