How to Cook a Heart Valentine card
Publisher: J.T. Wood & Co
Comic valentine on white wove paper with shaped edge and embossed border with inner lithographed border and central decorative oval frame printed in green ink. A trimmed chromolithograph at the centre features a Cupid dressed as a chef cooking a heart over a grate suspended on a meat hook. A printed 'method' and 'recipe' below in purple ink: "HOW TO COOK A HEART / This elegant and savoury dish, if carefully cooked, is an agreeable and / important addition to the table; but when hastily or negligently pre- /pared, is flavourless, tough and disappointing. ...". WOOD embossed at lower centre. The inside pages are blank.
