Comic valentine. Small 48mo-size card with hand-coloured lithograph of a male figure carrying a cooked piglet on a platter from DOUGHS BAK[ERY] seen in the background. The title printed below: PLEASE THE PIGS I MEAN TO ENJOY MYSELF. A lithographed mocked-up 'letter' inside: "To / May you be happy may / the recollection of past hours / bring nothing but pleasure to / your thoughts. But if a cloud should hover oer you and pain / and sorrow dim your passing life / Think of me and remember that". From a series. See also P.14412-R-40, which is mounted on the same album leaf.
