Mutual Thoughts Valentine card
Publisher: Mullord Bros.
A 'raised' valentine with a top layer of gilded cameo-embossed die-cut design of a classical façade with corinthian columns and balconies mounted on paper springs to a second layer of plain lace-paper. The top layer is decorated with embossed scraps of violets and a Cupid arranged in an inverted arch around a central window through which can be seen a silver-framed medallion with a printed verse on a silk panel: 'MUTUAL / THOUGHTS. / I cannot think, whre'er [sic] / thou art, / Thou hast forgotten me ...'. 'MULLORD' stamped at upper centre of the second layer of plain lace-paper. The back paper is missing.
