Valentine card

Embossed white wove paper mounted with scraps; a gilt lace-paper frame mounted on a paper spring at upper centre and decorated with a large embossed scrap of a pink rose with leaves and buds. Three circular gilt-lace-paper framed mottoes at the centre: 'From / A / True Lover' ; 'Remember' ; 'TO MY FAVORITE'. The interior is blank. Uses the same embossed blank as P.14413-R-41, P.14413-R-42 and P.14413-R-43 and the same gilt lace-paper-framed mottoes as the latter two. Hand-written inscription in graphite on the album leaf below P.14413-R-44: 'Original Price 1d' [1 penny]. Presumably relates to an inscription found on the verso of the card.
